Happy first day of fall!

This time of year means many different things, for one - going back to school. After a whole month of attending classes, I thought it would be good to share one of my favorite school outfits so far.

Early September on the East coast usually consists of those awkward temperature changes that we all struggle with. A day may start with a chilly morning around 60 degrees and go to high 80 or even 90 later on (not to mention humidity...).

My solution is to always bring a sweater because despite chilly mornings, AC tends to be on real high setting at my school! The struggle is real...

Today's look is a combination of what I mentioned above plus of course, comfort. You gotta feel good in what you wear when you're running from one class to another. That being said, sneakers are a must for me! You also need a bigger bag for all your school necessities and snacks! This H&M one was with me to every single lecture for the past year, and it's my absolute favorite. It also didn't hurt I snatched it for only $15.

In the last two months, I managed to spend summer on both coasts, attend one wedding, baseball game, music festival, make new friends, try new wines, eat until I can't look at food anymore, relax and of course, shoot a bunch of new outfits for the blog.

In case you haven't followed me on INSTAGRAM yet, here's a full detailed recap of everything I mentioned above :)

I definitely left my heart in San Francisco, and it was a love at first sight. I feel so blessed I was able to make so many new memories in the city this past summer (did I just say past?! Is it even over yet?!)
The closer I've gotten to moving back home (Delaware), I felt so overwhelmed with different feelings. It was definitely bittersweet leaving this beautiful place (Napa Valley) and wonderful people I met along the way. Going back home meant going back to school, and I didn't feel ready nor excited to be back at it. Whenever I get overwhelmed with so many things going on in my life, I usually remember what my friend once said, and it's been probably the most helpful advice I've ever gotten. She told me: take small steps, one day at a time, and I swear, it saves my ass every time.
READ more about my Napa experience here: 1, 2, 3.

I shot this look while I was in Boston for a weekend, then left for Cape Cod. The latter is still unwritten, but you can read more about my Boston look HERE and HERE.

I wore this sweater H&M to the wedding in San Francisco, because well, it's never too warm there in the summer! The dress turned out to be a hit, super comfortable to dance all night in... Besides the fact, the following day I felt like the girl in the next photo!
See full details of this look HERE.

My two of probably the best food memories over the summer. What can I say, the girl likes to eat!

Making new memories with new friends and starting new traditions with the old ones! I had a super fun day at the Giants game in San Francisco with a friend from Napa. When I went back to Delaware, I reunited with my girl and we both attended the Budweiser Made in America music festival in Philadelphia. It was her first time ever seeing a concert (!), and I was so happy I got to do it with her.

Read all about my favorite Made in America moments from past years in THIS post.

The picture on the left was taken in California on a very hot, hooot day. The other one is from just few days ago in Delaware. It just goes to show you can find beauty anywhere you are...

A few recent fall looks that are my favorite as of now. I'm all about trench coats, jean skirts and sleeveless turtlenecks! See more details HERE and HERE.

My latest post is a must read, because I'm talking about a very special piece made by my extremely talented friend. If you like handmade jewelry, you won't regret checking it out! See the full post HERE.

My latest collaboration is a result of some unexpected circumstances. It's amazing how sometimes you meet interesting people by accident. It's almost as if the universe aligned and there you were at the right time and place.

I met Tanya while sitting at school waiting for my Newswriting class to start. It quickly turned out we are both international students from Europe... and the rest is history. As soon as she learned about my blog, she invited me to collaborate with her. As soon as I saw her handmade jewelry collection, I was sold. You see, I'm not the biggest fan of jewelry, for the most part I'm just lazy and I forget to accessorize my outfits. Every now and then I do reach out for a necklace but it's usually something simple. My statement necklace collection... well, there's just two of them.

BUT, I was immediately captivated but Tanya's talent. Her jewelry has this unique boho/ gypsy/ indie/ tribal vibe and I love it. Another thing I noticed is how much joy she finds in making jewelry. Girls, you won't regret making business with her. Like I said before, I find her work noteworthy and remarkable.

I went with a turquoise rock because there's something so damn naturally beautiful about this color. Pair it with something simple, black, neutrals, and I assure you, all eyes will be on you. I mean... the necklace!

Tanya's goodies always arrive in beautifully packed boxes, and it just goes to show she's an artist all through.

You can view more Tanya's work in her Paradise Birdie Studio ETSY store.

Also, don't forget to give her a follow on INSTAGRAM and her FACEBOOK account to stay updated!
