CHICAGO TRAVEL DIARY: Ohio Street Beach

A beach conveniently located on the verge of the city?! Yes, please! And what if I said that Chicago has many more gems like this one? Ohio Street Beach is one of them. Short walk from downtown and its attractions, passed the Navy Pier, there's this small piece of heaven. Why do I like it so much? Well, it's kind of like a case of Central Park. In the middle of the busy city that never stops, you get to enjoy a piece of nature at its finest. You get to forget for a moment where you actually are. Yes, skyscrapers in Chicago still scream at you from high above not letting you to forget that they/you are still there, but who cares, when you're resting your pretty bum on the sand? I think this combination makes for beautiful sights and interesting pictures. You won't find it everywhere. Chicago truly is pretty darn special.

There was barely anybody there, which is usually a + if you want to relax a bit.

Don't pictures just speak for themselves?

Give it a try and see for yourself : 400 N Lake Shore Dr, Chicago, IL 60611
