MADE IN AMERICA


And so here we are, only few days away from my favorite time of the year!

Over the past two years, I made it a point to attend at least one summer music festival. So far, I've been to a couple different ones in my area (Made in America, Firefly), so I could make a decision, which one I like best. There's a couple things I considered (price being a big factor, since music festivals tend to be expensive), and the one I picked pretty much nailed it with most of my requirements!

BUDWEISER MADE IN AMERICA that is! The festival takes place in Philadelphia every Labor Day weekend. It was curated by Jay Z in 2012.

I loved being a part of it two years in a row and I wouldn't miss it for a world this year! I live only an hour away from Philly, and the festival is located right in the center city. There's plenty of ways for me to get there, and staying overnight was never a problem. 

This year, for less than $200 (though it used to be only $120... ), we get to see Beyonce, The Weeknd, Banks, Nick Jonas, J.Cole, Modest Mouse and many more. I think that's still a pretty sweet deal!

Below a flashback from two fun MIA weekends.


There's three stages with the main one being located right under the famous Rocky stairs - the Philadelphia Museum of Art.


It is also a place where fashion is taken really seriously...








This one time (last year) when we had to evacuate the festival scene and wait out the thunderstorm on the streets of Philadelphia...




Back at the festival site! We made it back just in time to see Pharrell and Kings of Leon.

    Holy crap that lineup! I'd LOVE to go see The Weeknd again, I adore that guy! I only went to 2 festivals, well 3 technically, this year but I barely saw any bands play because I mostly went to see friends who were working the festivals. I did get the chance to see Bleachers, who I loved. And Years & Years + Kodaline. So I enjoyed those acts for sure.
