Good morning and happy Mother's Day!

Another beautiful week behind us, so today I have a quick roundup of my Instagram feed for you!

The weather has been on my side lately, and I couldn't be more happy about it! I feel like I waited so long for spring to come and now it feels more like summer! Especially that I just wrapped up school and have exciting things to come in June! (Sorry for the exclamation point overload, ha!)

In my latest fashion post HERE, I wrote about this special tee from Poland, which I have received from my brother a couple months ago. I love how comfortable it is and, of course, the meaning behind it!

Speaking of Polish goodies, last week I had my wonderful friends over for a weekend, and on Sunday we decided to hit the city. There's a bunch of Polish places (or more like a whole neighborhood) in Philadelphia, where you could feel like you're back home. First, we hit up a restaurant, Syrenka in Port Richmond, and food was just like I remembered! Not only made by wonderful people, whom I had a pleasure of meeting beforehand, this food was also as affordable as it can be. If I lived a bit closer, I would be a returning costumer at least three times a week. Can't recommend it enough!

Just few of all the things chocolate I consume on daily basis! Yes, it's an addiction but I'm fine with it, and have no plans for recovering from it.

Rose Byrne has such a great sense of style, and this year's MET Gala was no different. While everybody else was swooning over Beyonce's dress and laughing off Rihanna's, I couldn't get my eyes off of this Calvin Klein number. That plunging neckline is a killer!

Don't forget where you come from

If you've seen my latest post (HERE), then you are already familiar with this look.
 Today, though, I have for you a little close up and a back story of the main focus of this outfit:

the DON'T FORGET FORGET WHERE YOU COME FROM  T-shirt.

And this particular piece of clothing has a lot of meaning to me for a number of reasons...

First of all, it was a gift. It has arrived to me from nowhere else than my motherland - Poland, and what's more, it was from my brother.

 Isn't there something really special in knowing your loved ones are thoughtful enough to send you things, they know you'll love? Or of what you might simply miss? All the way from another continent?! Since I haven't seen my family face to face in almost three years now, anything I receive from them, I consider sacred.

Another reason why it's good to have this shirt in my possession is pretty simple.  In 2014, my country was represented by musicians Donatan & Cleo with a song My Slowianie (We Are Slavic) at the Eurovision Song Contest (an annual song competition within, primarily, the member countries of European Broadcasting Union). Even though we didn't win that year, I thought that our representation was finally fresh and different with a nice splash of humor ;)

Anyway, the point of the story is that the female singer, Cleo, wore the exact t-shirt (by Diamante Wear) I'm presenting you today. I hope you love it as much as I do!

OSCARS 2015: Ceremony

Now that I showed you my top fashion picks from the red carpet HERE, let's talk about the actual ceremony! This year's host is no one else than a wonderful Neil Patrick Harris who always makes for an awesomely elegant and funny gentleman! The Oscars opening was an absolute hit, I may or may not have watched it a few times, it was so good! Anna Kendrick and Jack Black made for great side kicks, so funny!

The Best Supporting Actor award went to J.K. Simmons for his role in Whiplash. I have not seen the movie yet, but it is certainly high on my list to watch.

One of the musical performances of the night was brought to us by Adam Levine and his band Maroon 5. Performing the song Lost Stars from a movie Begin Again, in which Adam made his cinematographic debut, I gotta say it was not one of his best live performances...

And how adorable was the director Pawel Pawlikowski's speech?! So cute!

The night is just getting better and better! The award for a Foreign Language Film went to a  Polish

production IDA and I could not be more proud! This is such a big moment, especially that a dear friend of mine is starring in it as well! I cannot stop smiling!!! 

GO POLAND! POLSKAAAAAAAA!

I have to admit, I'm not a fan of a country music, but Tim McGraw nailed it singing a Glen Campbell's song  I'm Not Going To Miss You. So classy!

Haha gotta love Neil Patrick Harris's scenes! Anybody who saw Birdman will recognize this reference to the movie. Sooo funny!

And to throw Miles Teller from Whiplash (and on drums) in the mix?! Brilliant!

And speaking of Miles Teller, he must be one of my favorite actors of my generations. On stage with another favorite of mine, Margot Robbie, they make for beautiful young talents! Bravo!

And the Best Supporting Actress award goes to....

 Patricia's great speech definitely vowed the crowd, take a look at Meryl Streep and Jennifer Lopez's reaction...

And the longest standing ovations after John Legend and Common's performance of a song Glory from the movie dedicated to the great Martin Luther King titled Selma. No wonder because couple minutes later they won an Oscar for the Best Original Song. Congratulations!

What a sweet moment between Idina Menzel and John Travolta! For anybody that knows about Travolta's biggest flop at last year's Oscars, when he introduced introduced Idina on stage with her totally made up last name, here's a spoof.. At this year's ceremony it was Idina who got to give John a new name, clever! As you can see, no hard feeling between those two!

And now we are down to three of the biggest awards of the night!
