LET IT GO

According to the weather forecast, from now on temperatures are supposed to be in the mid-50s! Wow! I just complained about another snow storm coming our way and now I'm writing about this. All in just one week! I mean, no wonder Mother Nature is a she :P

Which brings me to the next thing:

 HAPPY INTERNATIONAL WOMEN'S DAY!

It just so happens that we have been graced with a beautiful sunny day, which definitely brings me a lot of joy. Time to ditch layers of clothing and wear something more revealing! 

It probably  doesn't make sense to put pictures of snow and ice up here now that we finally have some more sun, but consider it a FAREWELL TO WINTER!

Yes, today I'm saying goodbye to winter time and to do it with grace, I thought I'll share a few pictures from my recent photography class assignment.

WALKING ON SUNSHINE

Talking about serious wishful thinking over here. Looking out the window and seeing another snow storm  has me wishing for SUN. I would rather be anywhere warm but here right now, but let's be honest, I should be grateful for another snow storm since it got me out of school! 

I guess all I have left right now is scrolling through pictures from last summer.

Today I want to share few photos from that one day in Austin, Texas, when it really felt like we were walking on sunshine. The sunlight was so strong you can see it on our lit up faces. We certainly didn't mind that orange glow.

PRETTY IN PINK

March 2nd and another winter storm warning. I gotta say, this season winter has been pretty moody. I know, I know, we did ask for snow when there was none, and now we want it gone, so maybe it's us who we should call indecisive. 

One way or another, for today's OOTD post I wanted to combine something springlike but still winter appropriate. Even though fashion can be anything and everything, to me, powder pink or blush screams spring.

This oversized Forever 21 sweater is the perfect staple for a weather like today. When it's still cold outside but you have spring on your mind (wow, what a rhyme!), there is nothing better than throwing a cozy sweater on top.

 To make my pink sweater pop, I paired it with a white top (FYI: about $5 from Walmart! talking about a steal.), grey Lucky Brand jeans and grey booties from Goodwill ($8! Yet another bargain!).

P.S. Sweater was on sale at Forever 21 for $20 (I'm wearing size Large) and it's still available online!

ONE YEAR ANNIVERSARY

Time sure does fly. I can't believe it's been a YEAR since I published my FIRST post over here. Now, three blog designs and 365 days later, here we are. 

Since a lot of people think blogging it's just something silly and narcissistic (because you keep posting pictures of yourself and write about your travels and new purchases), it is hard for them to understand that blogging is more like building your own brand. Though, I still have a long way to go, I am so happy I finally listened to my friends and followed my gut to start this adventure. 

One of the best benefits of blogging is when you learn something new every day. From fighting with html, CSS and the overall blog design, through working for hours on the best post possible, to learning how to grow your audience and connect with your readers, it's a very humbling experience. 

Because first, you have to believe in yourself. Then it takes devotion and hard work, and through it all , you still need to remember not to take yourself too seriously. Because if you lose fun in blogging, there's no point doing it anymore. 

I can honestly say it's been a great year, and I am so happy I'll always have this little space I can share with You, my readers or what I think is a better description - friends.

So thank You for being here. You make it all worth it.

Throwback Thursday: VENICE BEACH, CALIF.

Good morning! I hope you are having a great week so far! It's Thursday, so we are that much closer to the weekend, YAY! Nevertheless, it is snowing again but since March (and hopefully spring weather) is approaching, I thought it's time to throw it back to California again. Also, in about a month I'm scheduled to visit my dear friend in the golden state, and I just can't wait!

That being said, I've been scrolling through old photos and came across the folder with photos from Venice and immediately wanted to share them with You!
