L.A.TRAVEL DIARY: VENICE CANALS

Prior to my visit to California, I made sure I researched places I wanted to see in L.A.
Venice Canals where at the top of my list ever since I saw one of my favorite bloggers post about it.

Venice canals are yet another proof of L.A. undeniable beauty and variety. So far I blogged about beaches, canyons, hills and mountains, now we have canals (click on the label California on the right side to find all of the posts I mentioned or simply click HERE).

This unbelievably picturesque place has had its appearance in numerous Hollywood movies (read more HERE), like a romantic comedy Valentine's Day, to name just one.

And the best part is, there is so much more to this city/area, I promise you can never get bored there!

Good afternoon! I hope everyone is having a wonderful weekend!

Today just a quick hello and a little preview of what I've been up to this past week.
Enjoy and don't forget to follow me on Instagram: @shenaniganska.

Spring, what a beautiful season that is. A wonderful time to enjoy long walks in the park and appreciate the blossoming nature around you. Also, what kind of a blogger would I be if I didn't take pictures to document this special time of the year?!

One of the looks from my visit to California earlier in the month. Make sure you check out the full post on this pretty off the shoulder number HERE.

All things red, aren't they gorgeous?! Ultimate eye candy.

DRUGSTORE MAXI DRESS

Good morning!

Anyone here who likes buying affordable pieces that still look fashionable? Well, then this post is for You!

As you already know, I like coming across a good sale in a store but even more, I love finding affordable clothing in places where you wouldn't normally look for them. When you think fashion, Walmart probably would not come to your mind, yet if you look close enough, you can find many great pieces for your wardrobe. I'll do a separate post on things I bought from this supermarket so you can see what I'm talking about.

Today's number is a dress I found at Walgreens! As any drugstore, Walgreens has sections with products of mainly anything you could need at the moment, so sure enough, it must have clothes, too. I highly recommend checking that part of the store from time to time because you never know what you can find! This maxi dress is wonderful for spring and summer, it's so comfortable, plus you can never go wrong with pastels!

For those who care about the quality the most, drugstore's apparel wouldn't be the place to go.
To me, a $15 maxi dress that looks like this one is a win win situation anyway.

What do you think about apparel shopping at a drugstore?

A special appearance by my favorite baby girl. How gorgeous does she look with her Baby GAP dress against mine? #matching

L.A.TRAVEL DIARY: HIKING

When in California, you absolutely must go hiking!

My first time in L.A. two years ago, I've gone to Runyon Canyon (one of the celebrities' favorites) and hiked my butt off California style for the first time in my life. You can read more about it HERE.

For my second intense workout, my friend Jimmy decided to take me to the Griffith Park Observatory hiking trails

And when I say intense, I'm not kidding. Hiking one of those trails is (at least) a 2-hour commitment. You can pick more or less challenging trails, either way, you are climbing your way UP.
It may sounds like hard work but trust me, you won't find a better way to get some workout in.
Every step of the way you'll have incredible views overlooking L.A. city and the area, plus the valley on the other side of the canyon. Win Win! Also, once you get on the top, you can spot the Hollywood sign as well. Talking about a total package!

Here's a few photos from the trails to give you a better idea of what I'm talking about. Enjoy!

Can you spot the Hollywood sign?
